Wow...so Cassi and I got married about a week ago. It was an awesome wedding if I may say so. I am happy now though that all the wedding talk and planning is over. That consumed most of our lives for the last 4-6 months. I would like to thanks all of you who came, hopefully you had as good of a time as I did.

After the wedding ended Cassi and I had to clean our car for about an hour and then take it to a car wash, so also thank you to those that painted our car and drew penises everywhere. We looked classy driving down the road.

A few days after the wedding Cassi and I went to the Colorado Avalanche Burgundy White game and I had a great time. Its always cool seeing the young players fighting for a chance with the team.

Then Cassi and I went to Durango for a small honeymoon. It was beautiful but Cassi was sick the whole time. I'm sure she will blog about it soon and post some pictures, but I figured I should write about something soon because it has been a while since the last blog. While we were in Durango, Cassi and I were watching some t.v. show about who are the greatest t.v. characters of all time. We disagreed with a lot of them so we decided to make our own list. It will be posted soon. In the mean time I suggest anyone that reads this come up with their own list.

That's is it for now,
Daniel

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Series

SO whenever I get bored, this could be bored for an hour or a few weeks, I obsess over my obsessions. However, there are lulls in my various obsessions, like the three years in between AFI albums, or the summer break for hockey, or the year in between Harry Potter movies (Whisper- or twilight movies). Anyway in these lulls I find new obsessions and this summer it was reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series. It was sooooooooo good. The author, Stieg Larsson, had that amazing balance between intrigue and character building. In The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, there are several chapters just describing Blomkvist’s day to day activities of wandering around town and drinking coffee, which does not seem eventful but I love reading the day to day details it makes the reader feel like he/she is there with him. Lisabeth and Mikael kept me company for a good 4 weeks this summer and now I miss them. I love book series because you can get to know the character in so much more depth. I like book characters to keep company for a while. This is why I totally love Harry Potter; you actually grow up with him, but I have reread Harry Potter at least four times and I guess what I am trying to say is I need a new books series. I don’t need a new book to read because I am currently reading three books- The Scarlet Letter, Moby Dick, and a Chuck P, but I am having trouble mustering enthusiasm for them because they don’t have sequels. So my advice to you (my readers or in other words Daniel) is to read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series because it is phenomenal and suggest to me an awesome book series. Umm preferably not a boy adventurer knock-off I know there are a lot of those and people say they are good but no one or nothing can beat Harry Potter in my opinion. I would maybe prefer a non-kids series but no Dan Brown, or whiney girl novels. I am kind of picky…
