The Refs Suck

So after watching a handful of Colorado Avalanche games this season I have come to the conclusions that the Refs in the NHL hate the Avalanche. Either that or they really suck at their jobs. After watching the San Jose/Colorado game tonight and watching Matt Duchene get called for three penalties that should not have been called it made me really hate these refs. Plus, when Kyle Cuminsky was elbowed in the face there was no call. Or how about all the elbows and crosschecks to T.J. Galliardi? Then at the end of the game when Colorado pulls their goalie San Jose tries to clear the puck and it hits a ref, more like the ref got in the way of the puck, and ends up in the hands of a Shark whom scores the empty net goal. Not only that the puck hit a San Jose player on the bench and the play should have stopped.

This is not the first game where the refs made bad calls against the Avalanche. In Philadelphia Craig Anderson was called with interference in the last minutes of a tie game. Then the Flyers scored a power play goal and the Avs lost. Also, when Colorado played New Jersey, Cody MCleod was given a game misconduct and a five minute major penalty for a gentle boarding. I do agree that he should have been penalized but five minute major and getting kicked out of the game, you have got to be kidding me. Luckily the Avs won that game.

The Refs better get their shit together or they are going to ruin the Avs season.
