Happy New Year!

Christmas was busy and fun, seeing many many relatives in Minnesota. Daniel got me a kindle for Christmas and my first book I read was Hunger Games, which was so good I cannot wait to read the rest of the series, which I bought today! With Christmas being so busy, Daniel and I are staying home just by ourselves for New Year’s Eve. Daniel is going to make crab legs for dinner and I made dessert. For my new Unofficial Harry Potter cook book I made Chocolate Pudding- the dense and more English version. It is so rich I added vanilla ice cream and Clementines to cut the richness. Daniel and I are having a Dexter marathon trying to forget my nerves about the new job I am starting on Monday. After 4 episodes, I am kind of getting nauseous but still it is pretty addicting. I cannot wait for the Winter Classic tomorrow. Get to watch one of my favorite hockey players and favorite hockey team kick butt, great way to start off the New Year, GO PENS!

Home Alone, Road Trip, and Hot Toddy= Christmas

Yay Christmas season! Daniel dislikes the Christmas season. For me, it is a bunch of fun work like getting presents, wrapping presents, putting up the Christmas Tree. For him it is a bunch of not fun work like putting up outside Christmas lights, extra driving to go see family and dealing with crazy customers with non-stop Christmas music played in the P-corn. We had a fight because he didn’t want me to put up a Christmas tree however he does love any excuse to spend money, especially at Best Buy.

What I am most looking forward to is watching Home Alone on TV and I haven’t been able to find it yet, for some reason that is my favorite Christmas movie and I can’t really explain why. My mom toke me to see it on Thanksgiving day 20 years ago this past Thanksgiving and although I don’t remember that trip I have still seen the movie every single year since on TV and love it. I think I love it so much probably because I was home alone a lot and I wish I could do as cool of things as Kevin did. The only things I did were call into radio shows requesting songs and watched South Park (we are talking 9 to 13 years old here), definitely not on par to shooting GI Joes with a BB gun and setting booby traps for robbers.

So of course every year for Christmas my family (this year Daniel is coming) drive 16 hours one way to MN. For many nights now Daniel and I have been scanning his HD radio before bed and making fun of most of the crap that is on there. He keeps asking my how I know all these awful continuous repetitive chorus country songs? And after everyone I said because it was the popular song played 20 million times on the way to MN and on the way back from MN, some year that drove me insane. So last year to remedy this situation I got Sherlock Holmes radio show tapings on CD, however my parents didn’t like this either. The characters did not speak well enough English for them because they had British accents- umm ironic. So this year I need a new idea for country free entertainment.

My parents can listen to about 3-5 minutes of Daniel’s and my music and I can tell they want to turn it off- due to the amount of commenting- “How can you tell what he’s saying?” “Why is it so loud?” “It all sounds the same.” “You really like this?” and lastly my mom’s favorite comment “Can we turn this off now?” I might just have to resort to separate ipod plug-ins for me and Daniel and I guess that is fine. Every year when I finally decide to just put on the ipod is always the time my parents decide to continually ask me questions. The whole trip is just annoyingly comical.

The last time Daniel went with us to MN the windchill was 30 below. Gollum and Daniel hated me for that Christmas. I don’t mind it, I guess I am used to MN being really cold, it would be weird if it wasn’t. Now too bad I can’t get used to those insipid country songs.

To end here is Daniel’s Hot Toddy Recipe:

3 tsp Aspen Taste Instant Hot Buttered Rum Mix

6 ounces hot water

1 jigger of Captain Morgan’s Spiced Rum

Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Very good and very pretty.

Yummy Soup Recipe

Pea Soup

Ingredients:

½ diced Onion

2 diced Carrots

2 diced Celery stalks

½ tbsp salt

2 tsp Thyme

2 tsp Red Pepper

3 (14 oz) cans vegetable broth

2 tbsp olive oil

3 pounds frozen peas

1 pint cream

In hot stew pot add 2 tbsp olive oil and sweat onion, carrots and celery for 10 minutes. Add in ½ tbsp salt, 2 tsp Thyme, and 2 tsp Red Pepper. Add 3 cans of vegetable broth. Add the 3 pounds of peas and bring to boil. Reduce heat to cool down and then puree in blender. Put puree back into pot and stir in cream. Simmer 5-10 minutes, salt and pepper as needed. Eat! (If you want to make this vegan just take out the cream and replace it with a starchy vegetable, like a potatoes. Just sweat the potatoes like you did with the carrots, onion, and celery.)

Here are mine Daniel

These are my favorite characters throughout the years and yes it is a weird grouping, I know. I do not watch enough TV to have 20 favorites from on-air programs, so many are from childhood. Also I am only including characters that were around when I was, so no Lucy but I am also including favorite all time TV shows and a few are definitely before my time, so thank god for re-runs and complete season DVD releases.

1.)Michael Scott- the best character hands down, we could watch The Office seasons over and over forever and we do.

2.) Angelica Pickles- was the cartoon embodiment of me as a child (sigh), however I lived too far away from my cousins to torment them, but I guess there where a few male cousin make-overs. She is also why I hope I have a boy.

3.) Gregory House- I wish I could be as blunt and honest as House but I do not have the brilliance to back it up. I find everyone who tries to psychoanalyze House is annoying.

4.) Temperance Brennan and Seeley Booth- my generation Mulder and Scully. I have been a fan of David Boreanaz since the Buffy days, but Booth is a more fun, interesting, and a much less depressed character than Angel. Side Note: male vampires must be so disturbed and depressed all the time, the poor actors must be dark, handsome and never smile; I think that job would take its toll. Brennan is just an awesome-female-scientist-power, even if she does have emotional issues; everyone needs a quirk.

5.) Bart Simpson- the never-ending rebellion and pranks

6.) Cosmo Kramer- only a genius could invent Kramer, full of idiosyncrasies and an atmosphere of bad luck

7.) Cartman- South Park mostly all the same opinions as Daniel and I. Loved the insheeption episode! Cartman is actually my least favorite character but an absolute necessity to make the show. I like Kyle.

8.) Dwight K Schrute- The pranks on Dwight are hilarious and I would say Dwight could rival Kramer in regards to uniqueness, but arrogance and the need for power are definitely his best features.

9.) Rachael Green- you can’t live during the 90’s and not obsess about FRIENDS, Rachael was my favorite. It takes guts to give up your parents’ money and work as a waitress.

10.) Sam Weir- adorable on Freaks and Geeks; makes me feel I should have been nicer to the nerdy boys. He was so innocent and genuine, as all kids should be. His expressions are priceless.

11.) Buffy the Vampire Slayer- kick ass, hot-forbidden-boyfriend, so idolized

12.) Stewie Griffin- hilarious; the perfect antidote to Peter’s stupidity and annoyance

13.) Andy Millman- all the comedy of the office, with extra famous actors and showing the vanity of celebrities- a cultural message, nice.

14.) Kerry Bradshaw- a show really just for women, that was not a soap opera drama fest (to include Melrose Place, Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate House Wives etc.). Kerry was unapologetically self-absorbed and materialistic, refreshing.

15.) Dylan McKay- my first crush, oh what a hot bad boy

16.) Daria- 5th grade marathon weekends, my new favorite color was black and the last good TV show made by MTV

17.) Raymond Barone- a believable portrayal of husbands, wifes, and family.

18.) Jonathon Taylor Thomas (J. T. T.)- haha another awesome 90’s crush, but he was on an actually decent show- Home Improvement, remember, the whole family could watch it.

19.) Zack Morris- my 2nd and more appropriate crush for my age, when my mom stopped letting my watch 90210 after Brenda and Dylan had sex on prom night.

20.) Steve Urkel- all kids of the 90’s imitated him. I mean really the 90’s kind of sucked, especially music-wise but Steve Urkel was a child’s rare gem, simply funny and annoying to adults.

Favorite All Time TV Shows:

· The Office

· I Love Lucy

· Seinfeld

· Charlie’s Angels (Only the Farrah Fawcett season)

· Bones

· The Wonder Years

· The Munsters

My Favorite T.V. Characters (90s and 00s)

So I only included shows from the 90s and 2000s. I also don't watch any shows on HBO or Showtime, so you may notice few shows from these stations. I am not saying these are the greatest characters of all time or that you should think they are, all I am saying is they are my favorite characters to watch. Also, I could only come up with 20 characters. I could obviously think of more characters but I started thinking, could I sit and watch these characters for hours on end.

20. Eric Foreman in That 70s Show, Topher Grace

19. Daria in Daria, Tracy Grandstaff

18. Master Shake in Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Dana Snyder

17. George Costanza in Seinfeld, Jason Alexander

16. Gregory House in House, Hugh Laurie

15. Sam Weir in Freaks and Geeks, John Francis Daley

14. Bart Simpson in The Simpsons, Nancy Cartwright

13. Temperance Brennan in Bones, Emily Deschanel

12. Jack Donaghy in 30 Rock, Alec Baldwin

11. Fox Mulder in X-Files, David Duchovny

10. Andy Millman in Extras, Ricky Gervais

9. Michael Bluth in Arrested Development, Jason Bateman

8. Phillip J. Fry in Futurama, Billy West

7. Stewie Griffin in Family Guy, Seth MacFarlane

6. Will Smith in Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Will Smith

5. Bender Rodriguez in Futurama, John DiMaggio

4. Eric Cartman in South Park, Trey Parker

3. Cosmo Kramer in Seinfeld, Michael Richards

2. Homer Simpson in the Simpsons, Dan Castellaneta

1. Michael Gary Scott in The Office, Steve Carell

The Refs Suck

So after watching a handful of Colorado Avalanche games this season I have come to the conclusions that the Refs in the NHL hate the Avalanche. Either that or they really suck at their jobs. After watching the San Jose/Colorado game tonight and watching Matt Duchene get called for three penalties that should not have been called it made me really hate these refs. Plus, when Kyle Cuminsky was elbowed in the face there was no call. Or how about all the elbows and crosschecks to T.J. Galliardi? Then at the end of the game when Colorado pulls their goalie San Jose tries to clear the puck and it hits a ref, more like the ref got in the way of the puck, and ends up in the hands of a Shark whom scores the empty net goal. Not only that the puck hit a San Jose player on the bench and the play should have stopped.

This is not the first game where the refs made bad calls against the Avalanche. In Philadelphia Craig Anderson was called with interference in the last minutes of a tie game. Then the Flyers scored a power play goal and the Avs lost. Also, when Colorado played New Jersey, Cody MCleod was given a game misconduct and a five minute major penalty for a gentle boarding. I do agree that he should have been penalized but five minute major and getting kicked out of the game, you have got to be kidding me. Luckily the Avs won that game.

The Refs better get their shit together or they are going to ruin the Avs season.

P.S.

John-Michael Liles is awesome.

Durango Honeymoon

Durango is like 9 hours away, that is a long drive for never leaving the state. Also driving to the southwest corner of Colorado there are no big towns, all the bathrooms are pretty nasty. Once you are on the mountains though, it is beautiful. The train ride takes all day, from 9am to 6:30pm, and costs $100 a person, but I think it was worth it. The sights are beautiful and you can appreciate it and take a ton of pictures since you do not have to drive yourself or pay attention to where your are going. We stayed at O-BAR-O cabins, which was adorable! A queen size bed, a mini-kitchen (still larger than my Paris apartment kitchen), a comfy couch, a private deck and grill over looking the river and I saved the best for last- a large stone fireplace next to the bed. Our first day there we actually got to use the fireplace because it rained all day. We drove up into the mountains and by Lake Vallecito and the foggy, rainy atmosphere made the surrounds extra majestic and bewitching. The rest of the trip I had a fever and was completely nauseous so it was a blur. Now I’ll just post some pictures because I think they are the most fun part about blogs and facebook anyway. Like Hannah I enjoy your artwork and food pictures and Briehn I love your doggie pictures!

Wow...so Cassi and I got married about a week ago. It was an awesome wedding if I may say so. I am happy now though that all the wedding talk and planning is over. That consumed most of our lives for the last 4-6 months. I would like to thanks all of you who came, hopefully you had as good of a time as I did.

After the wedding ended Cassi and I had to clean our car for about an hour and then take it to a car wash, so also thank you to those that painted our car and drew penises everywhere. We looked classy driving down the road.

A few days after the wedding Cassi and I went to the Colorado Avalanche Burgundy White game and I had a great time. Its always cool seeing the young players fighting for a chance with the team.

Then Cassi and I went to Durango for a small honeymoon. It was beautiful but Cassi was sick the whole time. I'm sure she will blog about it soon and post some pictures, but I figured I should write about something soon because it has been a while since the last blog. While we were in Durango, Cassi and I were watching some t.v. show about who are the greatest t.v. characters of all time. We disagreed with a lot of them so we decided to make our own list. It will be posted soon. In the mean time I suggest anyone that reads this come up with their own list.

That's is it for now,
Daniel

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Series

SO whenever I get bored, this could be bored for an hour or a few weeks, I obsess over my obsessions. However, there are lulls in my various obsessions, like the three years in between AFI albums, or the summer break for hockey, or the year in between Harry Potter movies (Whisper- or twilight movies). Anyway in these lulls I find new obsessions and this summer it was reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series. It was sooooooooo good. The author, Stieg Larsson, had that amazing balance between intrigue and character building. In The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, there are several chapters just describing Blomkvist’s day to day activities of wandering around town and drinking coffee, which does not seem eventful but I love reading the day to day details it makes the reader feel like he/she is there with him. Lisabeth and Mikael kept me company for a good 4 weeks this summer and now I miss them. I love book series because you can get to know the character in so much more depth. I like book characters to keep company for a while. This is why I totally love Harry Potter; you actually grow up with him, but I have reread Harry Potter at least four times and I guess what I am trying to say is I need a new books series. I don’t need a new book to read because I am currently reading three books- The Scarlet Letter, Moby Dick, and a Chuck P, but I am having trouble mustering enthusiasm for them because they don’t have sequels. So my advice to you (my readers or in other words Daniel) is to read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series because it is phenomenal and suggest to me an awesome book series. Umm preferably not a boy adventurer knock-off I know there are a lot of those and people say they are good but no one or nothing can beat Harry Potter in my opinion. I would maybe prefer a non-kids series but no Dan Brown, or whiney girl novels. I am kind of picky…

Cassi's AFI and Green Day

I just saw AFI and Green day in Denver. Of course AFI was amazing, but wow I never thought I would miss the feeling of my ribs crushing upon impact when Davey screams. There wasn't a mosh pit and I wasn't being crushed, I felt weird not leaving the show without my hips and ribs having welts. Now of course if I would have stayed in the pit for Green day that problem would have definitely been solved, however I am not that big of a Green Day fan to suffer though that and plus Green Day really puts on a show for a stadium and you don' t need to be in the pit to enjoy it. However, Davey came on stage to sing with Billie Joe and I wanted to rush back down to the pit, I just can't stand to be that far away from him, it is torture. Anyway, AFI was amazing but the small venues are so much better! When you have an entire auditorium cramped full of people screaming every lyric Davey sings it is just amazing and to feel the crowd squashing you to during the heighten parts of the songs---just amazing. My constant complaint is always MORE AFI but for this show I really mean it. The Pop disaster tour I went to had Jimmy Eat World, Green Day and Blink 182- Jimmy Eat World had a short set but Green day and Blink's sets were about equal, both with props and stage lights, I think it should have been more like that for AFI and Green Day. Just seeing Green Day's amazing show is worth the high ticket prices. They play for almost 3 hours and Billie Joe never stops or loses energy. Wow can he perform- he sings for 3 hours straight and sounds exactly like the albums. Not only do they have like a billion and one hits that they sing but they also through in a medley of a dozen or so classic rock hits- the show was mind blowing.

However for a frantic, obsessive, my life is AFI fan (like myself), I would definitely not pay these ticket prices to follow AFI around. Plus they have so much security, there is no way to stalk the band, even politely, which I personally try to do.

AFI/Greenday Show

Hey,

Cassi and I went to the AFI/Greenday show on Saturday at Fiddler's Green/Comfort Dental Amphitheater. The show was great but I was kind of disappointed that AFI only played 10 songs. Also, they didn't use any stage lights or any things like that. Let's just say there was no flare. With that said the band did a great job. I would not have missed it for the world.

Now on to the Greenday part of the show. It was really amazing. It was a big production with fireworks, water hoses, flame throwers, confetti, and awesome music. Greenday played for two and a half hours. They played a few covers that really got the crowd going and basically all of their hits. They also had a bunch of people from the crowd come up and sing and dance and such. It was something that I am so happy I saw. I don't know if I will see them again but I'm glad I saw this show.

For those of you that don't know, AFI and Greenday have been friends for a long time. AFI recorded and EP called AFI EP on Billie Joe's record label, Adeline Records, back in 1998. This picture is from the Sing the Sorrow days, so around 2003 or so.

That's it for now.

One Month

My Wedding is coming up in a month, in which the wedding planning is getting strangely realistic. Wedding planning feels like prom committee/ getting ready for prom on steroids. You obsess about the dress, hair, make-up, tuxs, flowers…prom stuff, but then you also have to worry about the venue, catering, rentals and people. One huge thing I am very happy about is controlling the music. I couldn’t even dance at my high school prom because the music was so horribly awful- disgusting rap, bump and grind. The only song Daniel and I got to dance was the one country slow song they played. I mean that is how bad the music was, that the country song was the best, pathetic. Daniel and I are extremely picky when it comes to music. We have spent so much time making our playlist. It has been hard because AFI and Rise Against you can’t really dance to at a wedding. I would image it would be awkward for a lot of people and clear the dance floor, so we mostly chose 80’s dance music. I find 80’s dance music awesome and hilarious. For the whole wedding I am trying to create fun, but not cheesy.

Daniel and I have also been researching honeymoons forever! First, it was Scandinavia then New England then specifically Maine, then South Dakota and Minnesota, and we ended on Durango, CO. They just had to be getting cheaper and cheaper, luckily we live in an awesome state to vacation in. Ending with- scary for the wedding to happen because then I have to be an adult and get a career job… yeah really scary, I think I just want to go back to school.

Things to Get Excited About

So now that summer is winding down, it's time to talk about what there is to do in the winter (Colorado doesn't really have a fall). When you live in Colorado it's pretty easy to have fun and stay busy in the winter. You could go skiing/snowboarding, ice climbing, ice fishing, hiking, snowshoeing, the list could go on and on. But if you don't do any of that stuff or hate the outdoors there's still some fun stuff to do. When I get board and can't do any of the above I love doing the following. Hockey starts in September and having the NHL Package from Comcast is awesome. Cassi and I watch a ton of hockey, we cheer for the Avalanche and the Penguins. Other than that, new seasons of the Office and Bones come on (A ton of other shows come back on too). These are about the only TV shows Cassi and I watch religiously. If TV is not your thing, there is always sitting down in a coffee shop or next to a fire and just reading a book. Cassi and I don't have a fire place but Cassi makes me read to her while she is getting ready for bed, so it works out. There is a lot more stuff to do but it would take a while to talk about them all. If you need some ideas…pick up a hobby like knitting or sewing, jewelry making, model building, or cooking.

P.S.

If you are good friends of Cassi and I there is one other thing you can do this September, come you our wedding. It will be awesome.

Have Fun,

Daniel

We Like to Watch Movies

Hello Again,

So Cassi and I watch a ton of movies. If you don’t have Netflix I strongly recommend getting it. We have a PS3 so we can stream some movies directly which is a plus, and it doesn’t cost extra. Anyway, about movies….”Kick Ass” came out today and I am so excited to buy it. We saw it in theaters, and let me tell you it was f**k**g awesome. As far as superhero movies go, the story blows pretty much every other movie away, Batman being an exception. It also doesn’t try to be to unbelievable, no one is a mutant or crazy rich, they are just good at beating the shit out of bad guys. Another thing that sets this movie apart is that the one of the main characters is a little girl. This movie shows that if you want to have a girl play a role you don’t have to have her is some scandalous outfit like in “Watchmen” or “Sin City”. Anyway, if you haven’t seen this movie you should do so at the earliest convenience.

Lake Mcconaughy, Estes Park and Breckenridge

Some trip observations. 4th of July at Lake Mcconaughy: Lake Mcconaughy is one of the largest man made lakes in a 5 hour radius that allows jet ski’s which apparently my dad has to be able to do. Mainly my parents go to either Pueblo reservoir or Lake M and I choose the Lake M trips to go on because Pueblo is deathly hot and a total desert with sharp rocks and cacti, not to mention the reservoir is small and so crowded that the water reeks of gasoline and you can even see it as it swirls around on the water’s surface. Lake M is nice. It is a big reservoir and surrounding it is huge cottonwood trees and soft green grass. Also in previous years there were a few miles of sandy beaches however this year the water was so high there was not only no sand but water covered several miles of trees. Pretty creepy to go swimming or jet skiing because you had to maneuver through clusters of trees and I just imagined getting the jet skiing suck in a branch or having a branch touch my foot or leg and totally freaking me out, thinking it’s a creepy crawly. Anyway the trees and the crazy thunderstorms added a little creepiness and adventure.

Next- Estes Park, which normally is awesome, totally dropped the ball this past weekend and as I have found out is a bit bloated during the summer. Staying at the motel 8 cost like 120 bucks, yeah that’s ridiculous. We wanted to stay at a cabin, which only costs about 60 bucks more, and they are all booked and I’m not joking every single one for every weekend until September! I see Estes Park as our (our as in Colorado’s) little quaint getaway. I didn’t think it was like a Vail or Aspen with a boat-load of tourists. Anyway the whole thing was extremely annoying and I think Coloradians should get first dibs on places like Estes Park. Anyway Estes Park was being mean and apparently over booked with tourists so I didn’t want to go there anyway, in which we went to Breckenridge.

Last- Breckenridge has awesome prices in the summer. We stayed at the Skier’s Edge 5.3 miles outside of Breckenridge. We got a room with a queen size bed, couch and kitchen with cabin decoration for less than 100 dollars a night. So pretty much an awesome suite for less than the motel 8 in Estes Park. In addition to our room there was a pool, hot tub, pool table, deck with two grills and two large fireplaces. The place was like deserted and had kind of a retro feel. Daniel and I both thought it felt like The Shining- a big deserted hotel 5 miles away from town, I huddled very close to Daniel at nighttime. Adding to the terror no one was around when we checked in or out and we rarely saw anyone on the grounds, however, at night, like from 11 pm on, you could hear people stomping around and like running up and down the stairs- weird.

Breckenridge, the town, was fun. We discovered the gondola is free in the summer, there is a giant Peak 8 slide you can pay 15 bucks to go on, Breckenridge trails are for bikers, not hikers, ummm… mostly it is fun to walk all around town and lounge by the river. All the Breckenridge homes, cottages, bed and breakfasts are to adorable and painted awesome colors, however my favorite was the one that looked like a little farm house (brought me home to MN and shut up Daniel I call MN my home if I want to!).

Also all the Breck/ ski / snowboard clothes are on sale in the summer, so brought some hoodies and wore them around in the awesome 60-70 degree weather. I decided 60’s is a favorite temperature and I contemplated moving to Breck solely for it’s never gets higher than 80’s and 90’s weather. In comparison to Estes Park, Breckenridge was better in deals, same in shops and food, not nearly as good in hiking trails, but extra entertainment with summer-ski-trail-transformed activities.

What is meaning of this?

Hello all (probably just Cassi),

My name is Daniel and I just wanted to tell you all what my part in this blog will be. Cassi and I are vegetarians so I will probably talk a little about food. We also love hockey and I will definitely write about the Colorado Avalanche once the season starts up. I like to hike and camp but Cassi not so much, so you may see some pictures of Colorado's hiking trails.

Now that I have broken the ice I would like to discuss a movie that has been popular to discuss. Yep, "Inception". So everyone is talking about how hard it is to understand this movie and that you may have to see it a few times to get it. Well, if you do that is just sad. I do think you should watch it more than once but if you don't understand it the first time you most likely won't get it until someone tells you. Don't get me wrong, it's a good movie with a very original story and great directing, but is not something only a genius can understand. Also, Leonardo's personal story line has been done so many times, including his last two movies ("Shutter Island" and "Revolutionary Road"), that is was almost pathetic to watch. Come on Leo, pick a role where your wife doesn't die or kill herself. I guess that's about it on this movie. Oh by the way he is dreaming at the end.

Quick Intro

I am Cassi and my soon to be husband is Daniel. We get into intense and analytical arguments/ discussions together about everything. And typically our views seemed to be radically different from the norm. We are both scientists and like to use cold hard facts to support our opinions. We thought our discussions would be an interesting thing to blog about.

SO here is a little information I am hoping will support our creditability and show you we are not another blog by a drug-filled, idealistic, ranting, idiot college student.

One, we are never drug fueled because my fiancĂ© doesn’t do drugs and rarely drinks and I am straight-edge and don’t get all scared I don’t project my lifestyle, however we do make fun of idiots, a lot. Two, we both earned scientific degrees from CU Boulder: Daniel with a Bachelor’s in Physics and Math and me with a Bachelor’s in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology and minor is Biochemistry.

As warnings and hopefully entertainment value- I am very blunt and have little to no sympathy for human beings. I am also judgmental but I don’t see how that is a bad thing because that is what blogs are all about. However, I support my judgements with facts and do love to be contradicted/ corrected. BORING, this is the most I will ever talk about my personal life, the rest will be editorials and that is much more fun to read, no one wants to read a diary. If you do you can go read MySpace posts or Facebook updates.
